About Niamh

Niamh began studying at RSDS in 2011 and started teaching with the studio when she returned from living in the UK in 2020. At RSDS, she teaches jazz, contemporary, ballet and pointe, and competition routines, including solos, duos/trios, and Dance Teams, alongside Ms Rachel.

Niamh’s classes blend correct dance technique with strong performance skills, encouraging each dancer to reach their full potential. She is passionate about safe dance training and instilling in young dancers an understanding of how the body works to aid them in their pursuit of artistry.

Niamh completed her Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Honours) in 2026 and will be working full-time as a qualified Lawyer.

Fun fact: Outside of dance and work, she loves spending time with her two Groodles, Marcel and Maggie, and babysitting her younger siblings.

Niamh is passionate about combining technically sound dance training with strong performance quality, while teaching dancers to understand how their bodies work so they can pursue their artistry safely and confidently.

Experience & Training

Niamh is a multifaceted dance educator specialising in contemporary dance. She began her dance journey studying classical ballet under the Cecchetti method, then completed her Certificate IV in Dance Performance in 2013 and her Bachelor of Creative Arts (Dance) at Adelaide College of the Arts in 2016.

Her professional career includes dancing with Ding Productions and the Adelaide 36ers, performing with Australian Dance Theatre’s first Youth Ensemble during a tour of Australia, travelling to China with Ding Productions, and performing at the Australian Dance Awards.
