Joanne has been a part of the RSDS family for 15 fabulous years. Teaching their little dancers is truly the most rewarding part of Joanne’s job. Watching their growth from the beginning of the year to the end-seeing their improvement, their skills developing and watching their confidence grow is incredibly fulfilling. Joanne’s classes are filled with enthusiasm, laughter and lots of fun, because a happy dancer learns best.
In 2026, Joanne will be teaching Tinies, Minis and three levels of Tap. One Important rule in her class is that the word “can’t” is forbidden. Instead, they say: “I’m struggling at the moment, but I’ll get it in the end. A little self-belief (and practice) goes a long way!!!
Outside of teaching at the studio, Joanne enjoys travelling and cruising. Joanne’s a huge Disney fan (especially Mickey Mouse), loves collecting Barbie dolls, and you’ll never catch Joanne without earrings on!!!

Joanne’s journey began as a Dance Mum, and a year later, she became the RSDS office lady before stepping into a teaching role, where she’s been able to share her love for dance. In 2021, Joanne completed her Teachers Tap Exam, further strengthening her passion for tap and teaching.
